Don’t Give Up!

“Having a rough start to the day?—Place your hand over your heart. Feel that? That’s called purpose. You’re alive for a reason. DON’T GIVE UP.”
I stumbled across those words this morning while getting a few emails in and smiled to myself.
I woke up so uncomfortable, sore, sick and just in pain; not in the best mood. But the second I heard my little boy coming up to the side of the bed saying “mama, mama” I jumped (well, more like rolled) out of bed and put on my mommy hat.
Sitting here this morning, feeling every contraction and movement of our daughter, feeling the quick heartbeat of my son as he gets so excited to help mommy package a few The Be Brand orders and throw headbands off the table faster than I can keep up…all of that reminds me that I’m here for a PURPOSE.
God’s given me the gift of motherhood. The gift of mentorship. The gift of marriage. The gift of community.
He’s given me a purpose to fulfill in so many areas of my life, so why in the world would I wake up and not remember that?
You have PURPOSE too.
You’re alive.
Your heart is beating.
You have a mission.
Now figure out what it is, and live with passion. 💗

How do you see yourself?

Can you believe I almost did not share this picture because all my eyes were drawn to were the hormonal zits on my face and the stretch marks on the sides of my legs and belly. How sad is that?
Look at how much JOY there is in this picture! It has been such a great day! Why in the world would I rob myself of that by picking myself apart and focusing on those little imperfections instead?
Maybe it’s the hormones from being 34 weeks pregnant, maybe I’m just exhausted, or maybe it’s the fact that a bikini is the only swimsuit fitting over this belly right now so she’s just all out there. 😂🙈
But anyway, moral of the story, be kind to yourself, because I just caught myself totally being negative to my self confidence and that is what I constantly preach against!
I think as women this is always something that will be a work in progress no matter how many compliments you receive or how hard you’ve been working, but girlfriend, you deserve BETTER than that.
So speak kindly to yourself today. Give yourself grace. Think about the joy in the moment before you go critiquing what’s around it. 💗
I’ve come a long way in finding confidence in my own skin, but it’s something I too struggle with from time to time still.
So instead of posting a giddy happy caption with this picture, I thought I would share a little more vulnerably about the thoughts that were going through my head before I shared it. Just keeping it real. ✌🏽

“Don’t quit your daydream.”

“Don’t quit your daydream.”

That’s something I’ve heard all my life but never believed.
I really thought all there was to life was waking up, going to a job that would often leave me feeling empty and stressed, leaving my babies in child care, come back home to be wife and mom, and then wake up and do it all over again.
I. Was. Wrong.
There’s so much more to life. So much more joy to be experienced, purpose to be lived out, and adventures to experience.
Over the last two and a half years I have learned not only how to believe in myself more, but to channel my energy into positive thoughts, focus on taking care of myself inside and out, and I’ve taken a leap of faith that has created the most incredible business from home with my babies.
A business that has brought lifelong friendships, purpose, adventure, and so much JOY to my life.
>> Two years ago I would have been racing around in the morning, probably running late to get to my classroom after an hours commute in the car, tired and pregnant.
>> Today, I am leisurely making breakfast with my son, listening to an audiobook and sipping coffee while I get ready for a day filled with relationships and purpose. Still tired and pregnant, but so fulfilled and FREE.
Never quit dreaming.
Never tell yourself you can’t.
Never think it’s too late.
Never say it will never happen.
IT CAN AND WILL IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF ENOUGH to do something about your life. 👊🏽
Take control and find what you are passionate about — take the scary leap of faith it takes to make big changes that could change your life! Believe me, I let fear get in the way for too long and the result? I missed out on years I could have had living less stressed and overwhelmed with life. I was missing out on so much positivity in my life!
So go ahead, I give you permission to dream today! What is it that you’ve always wanted to do? 😘💗

My transformation

#transformationtuesday has been looking much different over these last eight months. From one baby to the next, my body has been changing a lot for what feels like over 2 1/2 years.
The one thing that has been a consistent factor is my #fitlifestyle. But more than just the workouts and meals I plan each week, it’s my support community that has been a constant.
It’s amazing what having the right tools and the right people to support you in staying consistently active does for your mindset.
When I take care of ME through my nutrition and fitness, I immediately FEEL more confident and better emotionally, as well as physically.
This week as I’ve been getting one group of ladies finished up in our group and another started in their prep week, my heart is bursting with joy to see the amazing transformations and the ones that are yet to happen. So rewarding to facilitate a community and safe place like these groups, similar to what changed my life over two years ago.
I may not have lost 20 pounds between these two pictures, actually just the opposite—I’ve gained about that much in 32 weeks of this pregnancy journey, some added fluff and then some too.
But I am grateful to be active. I’m grateful to have a healthy baby growing in my belly for now the second time. I’m grateful to be an active mama to my 19 month old son.
There’s a lot of transformation going on inside even if it’s going the opposite way. 😂
What’s your transformation story? Are you working on yourself from the inside out too? 😘
You’re beautiful and so is YOUR STORY! 💗
